He has taught botany, herbalism, and wildcrafting extensively for decades, including such herbal establishments as the Southwest School of Botanical Medicine. Northwest Materia Medica: Oregon Grape Root
I will discuss the ecology, politics, and uses of my favorite herb, Oregon Grape. This class will extend to generalized topics such as bitters, alteratives, conservation, history, whole plant medicine vs. phytochemicals, p-glycoproteins, and antibiotic resistance, as well as a few droppers of colorful stories and case histories.
